Get a Score (getascore.app) is built to keep as little as possible. In short: we don't store what you score, we don't keep your email address, and we never sell data. Questions: team@seqonda.com.

1. Your texts (CVs, job posts, emails and other texts you score)

  • Files you add are read inside your browser. The files themselves never reach our servers.
  • The extracted text is sent to our AI provider, TypeSafe, only to calculate your score. We don't save the text or the result, and we don't write them to our logs.
  • TypeSafe processes the text only to return the score, under its own data processing terms, and does not train its models on customer requests.
  • Once the result is on your screen we no longer have it. Save or share it yourself if you want to keep it.

2. Signing in with your email

  • You sign in with a 6-digit code we email you. The address you type is used at that moment to send the code (through our email provider, Resend), and we don't keep it. Resend keeps a copy of each email it sends for us — the address, the subject and the message, including the code — for up to 30 days, then deletes it. The code itself stops working after 10 minutes.
  • Or you can choose Continue with Google. We ask Google only for your email address and whether Google has verified it — not your name, photo or contacts — and use it exactly as above: it becomes the same hashed account, and we don't keep the address. While you're away at Google, the texts you pasted wait in your browser (this tab only) and are put back when you return. Google handles your sign-in under its own privacy policy.
  • Your account is identified by a scrambled (hashed) form of your email. It can't be turned back into your address, so we can't read, list or contact the emails of our users.
  • So you can see who is signed in, we keep a shortened form such as ad•••@gmail.com with your sign-in, until you sign out or it ends after 90 days.
  • Your browser remembers the email you signed in with, on your device only, to fill in the checkout. Signing out removes it.

3. What we do keep

  • Your scores left, linked to your hashed email. Free scores are deleted after 400 days without use.
  • Purchase records: the Freemius license number, the pack bought, how many of its scores are left and which hashed email it belongs to — so a purchase is added once and refunds can be handled. Kept for 3 years. Free credits we give you are recorded the same way, with a shortened form of your email (such asad•••@gmail.com) so we can see who got them; we may email you once to tell you about them.
  • Sign-ins: a scrambled (hashed) code for each signed-in device, for up to 90 days.
  • Results you choose to share: only when you press Share, we save that result's score, verdict and count — plus the job title or the question for those score types — under a random link, for one year. Never the text you scored, and nothing that identifies you.
  • Sign-in codes, only in hashed form and only for 10 minutes.
  • Abuse-prevention counters, such as how many codes or scores were requested recently. Network addresses are stored only in hashed form, and the counters expire within a day.
  • Daily totals, such as how many sign-ins, scores and purchases happened each day. Only numbers — not who, and no content.
  • Visit statistics from Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are viewed, the referring site, and the country and device type. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across sites.

4. Payments

Purchases are handled by Freemius, our payment provider and merchant of record. Freemius collects the details needed for the payment (such as your name, email and payment method) under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details, and we don't store your name or email address; we keep only what's listed above. The email you pay with decides which account the scores go to.

5. Cookies

We use one necessary cookie, gas_session, to keep you signed in on this device for up to 90 days. If you continue with Google, two short-lived necessary cookies are also used: one for up to 10 minutes to check that the sign-in you come back with is the one you started, and one for up to a minute to pass your email to your browser for the checkout. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may use a technical, invisible bot check to protect the Service.

6. Service providers

  • TypeSafe — scores your texts.
  • Vercel — hosts the website, runs an invisible bot check (Vercel BotID) and counts page visits (Vercel Web Analytics).
  • Upstash — stores score balances, sign-ins and counters (servers in Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Resend — sends our emails (sign-in codes, and a note when we give you free scores) and keeps a copy of each for up to 30 days (servers in Ireland).
  • Freemius — payments, tax and refunds.
  • Google — only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country, under their own safeguards.

7. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process data to provide the Service you ask for (contract) and to keep it secure and free of abuse (legitimate interest). Payment records are kept by Freemius as tax law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by emailing team@seqonda.com from the address you sign in with — we can find your account by hashing it. Deleting your account also deletes any unused paid scores. We reply within 30 days.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
